New PoP Expands Connectivity Options from Europe’s Gateway to Africa, Middle East and Asia
TOKYO & PARIS — (BUSINESS WIRE) —
NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the global data and IP services arm of Fortune Global 500 telecom leader NTT Group (NYSE:NTT), announced today that it will expand its Tier-1 Global IP Network with a new point-of-presence (PoP) in Marseille, France.
Marseille is the interconnection point for eight international subsea cables that link Europe to Africa, the Middle East and Asia. NTT Com’s new PoP in Marseille will facilitate the delivery of reliable, high-quality wholesale IP services between these high-growth markets and Europe.
In addition to providing access to highly strategic subsea cables, this new PoP is located at a major carrier-neutral facility, Interxion’s data center MRS1, which houses a community of over 70 connectivity providers, exchanging large volumes of traffic in a highly secure environment.
